Shaveen & Sajith (also written Shaveen and Sajith) are a Sri Lankan singing duo who perform contemporary Sinhala songs together. The pairing brings together vocalist Shaveen Dharmathilake and singer-lyricist Sajith Akmeemana, and they are best known on Lyrics-lk for the tracks Minisathkam Ko and Kiri Amma.
Sajith Akmeemana is a Colombo-based singer and lyricist who also works as a video director, and the Shaveen & Sajith collaboration draws on that songwriting background. On their releases the two share the lead vocals, with Sajith typically credited for the lyrics.
Their 2020 release “Minisathkam Ko” sets words by Sajith Akmeemana to a melody by Rukshan Akmeemana, with music, mix and mastering by Randy Gayan Perera. The same title appears on the site in an alternate transliteration as “Minisathkama Ko”. Their song “Kiri Amma”, a tribute themed around motherhood, pairs the duo’s vocals with music by Dilum Thejana.
