A modern heartbreak song about a love that ended but never really let go. The singer accuses gently: growing close to someone else, on purpose, she wiped out even his path and wounded their love. He admits their bond began by a mistake of the times, an ill-timed, perhaps wrong love, and yet insists she is still the one thing he wants, pleading, don’t become the lost moon tonight, the ahimi sanda, the moon that can never be his.

The middle is the ache of being burned by love. He begged and made his pleadings, he says, and her answer was to kindle love in him and then set him alight, to make him love her and then leave him burning. The image captures the cruelty of a love awakened only to be abandoned.

The last part holds the contradiction that gives the song its title. Even hurting without her, he vows to stay far from her hand, keeping his distance out of pain, and yet, though she let go, she never let his heart out of her hand, he is still hers. His mind tells him to move on while his feelings beg him to stay a little longer, and his sighs would speak if only they could. Sung by Akiiy and Jayss to words by Yashodha Adhikari, it is a young, raw song about loving someone you know you have to leave.
