A dark, delicate song that uses butterflies as its image for fragile dreamers, and love as the thing that breaks them. Even butterflies had dreams, it insists, and once held a colour brighter than a flower, but the world turned harsh, and even the flower, mockingly, let them go. The gentlest creatures had the biggest dreams, and were the first to be discarded.

The middle grows bleak. Kisses linger in salt water, there is a salt taste of dying, and in a world with not a single particle of love, a world that has fallen asleep forever, the butterflies die upon mere words. Love here is destroyed not by great tragedy but by careless words, in a world too cold to feel anything.

The last verse lands the wound. There are scars over wounds that never were, and deadly surgeries performed, pain inflicted where there was no real injury to begin with. And the sharpest image: hearing wedding songs on the poruwa, the traditional Sinhala marriage platform, nameless tears break, someone weeping unseen as the person they loved marries another. Sung by Tharindu Damsara with Yomal Samarakoon, Geeth Peramuna and Kavin Harshana, to words by Deepika Perera, it is a mournful song about tender dreamers crushed by a loveless world, and the silent grief of watching a love marry someone else.
