Oh ! Me (stylised OHME, ඕමි) is a Sri Lankan band founded and fronted by singer and composer Randika Fernando. The group built its following with original Sinhala singles and live covers of well-loved classics, and its name plays on the popular card game many Sri Lankans grew up with.
The band emerged commercially in the mid-2010s and grew steadily through original songs and a strong stage presence rather than heavy promotion. Randika Fernando writes and composes most of the band’s material and also runs the production house that manages the group. Around him the lineup is built as a full live unit, with members handling bass, keyboards, drums, lead guitar, and backing vocals.
Several of the band’s recordings are reworkings of standards alongside its own writing. The recording of Nil Nuwan Obe hosted here carries music by Randika Fernando and words by Ajantha Thanthulage.
OHME remains an active part of the contemporary Sinhala live-music scene, known among fans for tracks such as “Mahasona”.
Every Sinhala lyric, composition, and song credit by Oh ! Me.
