Maheshika Lakmali is a Sri Lankan playback and duet singer whose recordings span Sinhala film songs and standalone singles from the early 2010s onward. She is most widely recognised for her duet work, including the popular “Chanchala Hegumaka” recorded with composer and singer Sanka Dineth.
Maheshika Lakmali built her catalogue across both single releases and film soundtracks, with tracks appearing on Sri Lankan music platforms from around 2012 onward. Her releases include the 2023 singles “Akale Wehina Wahi” and “Nadukarayaku Wee”, alongside earlier film and album recordings.
Her best-known collaboration is the duet “Chanchala Hegumaka” with Sanka Dineth, a song that circulated widely on Sinhala music download and lyrics sites and helped establish her name with listeners.
