Sithara Madushani (සිතාරා මධුෂානි) is a Sri Lankan vocalist and music educator known for teledrama and film theme songs and for her work as an SLBC and SLRC broadcast singer. She is best recognised by Sinhala listeners for the Adhiraja Dharmashoka teledrama theme Puthuni Mage.
A resident of Piliyandala, Madushani studied at Piliyandala Central College and graduated in 2017 with a First-Class degree in Performing Arts (Music) from the University of the Visual and Performing Arts. She went on to teach North Indian vocal music there as a visiting lecturer while pursuing a master’s degree, and she completed the Sangeeth Nipun examination in classical music.
Madushani is an auditioned “A” grade singer at both SLBC and SLRC, and an A-grade folk and Noorthi and Nadagam singer at SLBC. She came up through televised children’s programmes and singing competitions, placing among the best sixteen on Derana Dream Star season four and reaching the runner-up spot in the Kavitha talent contest. Much of her recorded output is in theme songs written for screen, including work tied to the teledramas Adhiraja Dharmashoka and Muthu Ahura.
Saththai Mage Raththaran (සත්තයි මගෙ රත්තරන්), arranged by Duleeka Kodagoda, is among her most-played recordings. Alongside performing, Madushani runs her own Swaranjali music academy and works as an examiner of oriental music.
