Chinthika Ranaweera (also credited as Chinthika R) is a Sri Lankan vocalist known for original Sinhala songs and acoustic covers of well-loved Sinhala numbers. Her recordings circulate across Sri Lankan music platforms and SoundCloud, where she is recognised for an intimate, restrained delivery rather than for chart-driven pop production.
Among her best-known tracks is “Sanasanna Ma Pathum”, a tender, prayerful ballad that remains her most widely listed song. She has also released “Ma Oba Hata”, issued in more than one arrangement including a slower acoustic version. Alongside her own material, Ranaweera has recorded covers of established Sinhala standards, among them Athma Liyanage’s “Liyathambara” and “Sithin Ma Nosali”, performed in a stripped-back, voice-forward style.
