Nanda Pathirana (නන්දා පතිරණ) is a Sri Lankan singer of Sinhala songs, known to listeners through a catalogue of older recordings that circulates on Sinhala music collections and oldies compilations. The recordings gathered under this name center on gentle, melody-led Sinhala songs of an earlier era.
Most of what is documented about Nanda Pathirana comes from the songs themselves rather than from published biographical accounts. The 2010 collection Landa Dige brings together several of these recordings, and individual tracks continue to appear on “Best of Sinhala Oldies” style compilations. Among the works associated with the singer are devotional and narrative-style songs such as Mahiyanganayata and Buduhamuduruwo, alongside the lighter Landa Dige.
