Sahan Chamikara (සහන් චමිකර) is a contemporary Sri Lankan singer known for melodic Sinhala pop and for cover renditions of well-loved songs. He built much of his early audience online, releasing a steady run of singles through the late 2010s and into the 2020s.
Chamikara’s catalogue spans both original singles and covers. One of his most-shared recordings is the duet Unmada Chithra, which he performs alongside Kavindya Adikari. His cover of Heena Rate Kinnaravi (also written “Heena Rate Kinnarawi”), released under the title Sihine, became one of his more widely streamed tracks and circulated across YouTube and the main streaming platforms.
He also recorded Mage Kalagola (මගේ කාලගෝල) as a duet with Thilakshi Nimasha, set to music by the veteran composer Dr. Rohana Weerasinghe. Other singles in his discography include “Oba Gawa Mama Innemi” and “Sagara Tharanga.”
