Shan NK (also written Shan N K) is a Sri Lankan singer and lyricist who released a run of independent Sinhala songs in the early 2010s, working under the SNK Productions banner. He is known on local music portals for tracks such as Oba Ha Maa and Dutuwa Dinedi, several of which he wrote himself.
Shan NK’s songs circulated through Sri Lankan music download portals and YouTube rather than through a major label, which is typical of the independent Sinhala pop scene of that period. Oba Ha Maa pairs his vocals with music by Tharanga Amarawansha, with the lyrics written by Shan NK himself. For Dutuwa Dinedi (දුටුව දිනේදී) he sang alongside guest vocalist Nadini, again writing the words, a collaboration released through his own SNK Productions / Creative Factory output.
