Uditha Anupama (full name Uditha Anupama Alwis) is a Sri Lankan singer and songwriter who works in the contemporary Sinhala romantic ballad style. He is best known on the open web for the single Tharukavi, and for a steady run of melody-driven love songs that circulate widely on YouTube and Sinhala music download sites.
Anupama emerged in the mid-2010s, when Tharukavi (released around 2016) put his voice in front of a larger audience. He has continued to record and self-release through the late 2010s and into the 2020s, issuing newer tracks such as “Waram Nomathi Adare” in 2025, which keeps him an active rather than archival artist.
Much of his catalogue pairs his own vocals and melodies with outside collaborators. On “Jeewithaye Soduru Suba Sihine” the music is by Udara Samaraweera, with the lyric co-written by Anupama himself, a credit pattern that recurs across his work. He also records duets, including “Nihada Palu Handawe” alongside singer Meena Prasadini.
Lyrics-lk hosts these songs with their Sinhala lyrics, transliteration in English (Singlish), and English translation, so a reader can follow the meaning alongside the original.
Every Sinhala lyric, composition, and song credit by Uditha Anupama.
