Chathura Rathnayake (චතුර රත්නායක, also spelled Chathura Rathnayaka) is a contemporary Sri Lankan singer working in Sinhala popular and acoustic-style song. He is known among newer male voices on the local scene, and several of his recordings circulate widely on YouTube and Sinhala chord and lyric sites.
One of Rathnayake’s better-known releases is Hiru Kumaree, a duet recorded with the singer Imanka Rathnayake. Another frequently shared track, Denuwan Hadanne, was set to music by composer Kasun Primal, with Rathnayake on vocals. These songs reflect the melodic, emotion-led register that runs through much of his work.
