Dammika Edirisinghe (also spelled Dammika Edirisinghe) is a Sri Lankan playback and stage singer active in contemporary Sinhala popular music, best known for the duet “Sanda Se Basa Noya” (සඳ සේ බැස නොයා), the theme song associated with the teledrama Pabalu.
Edirisinghe records both as a lead vocalist and as a featured duet partner. His most widely circulated track is “Sanda Se Basa Noya”, a collaboration built around the composition of Thilina Ruhunage and performed alongside Nirosha Virajini. The song circulated in two forms, a standard release and a version tied to the Pabalu teledrama, both of which are documented across streaming platforms.
Beyond that duet, his catalogue on streaming services includes “Sagare Tharam” (2013), “Hinawenna Beri Tharamata”, and “Ahi Piya Yata” (2012). The romantic ballad “Hinawenna Beri Tharamata” is also performed by Uresha Ravihari, reflecting the way the song moves between vocalists in the Sinhala scene.
Lyrics-lk presents these songs with the Sinhala script, an English transliteration (Singlish), and an English translation with meaning, so a bilingual listener can follow both the sound and the sense of each line. Dammika Edirisinghe’s recordings sit within the same wave of teledrama-linked Sinhala ballads that keep this material in circulation.
