Harsha Withanage (හර්ෂ විතානගේ) is a contemporary Sri Lankan singer working in the modern Sinhala pop and acoustic ballad style. He is best known for the romantic single “Sandanaari” (සඳනාරී, also spelled Sandanari), released in 2018, and the 2019 single “Awathan Hade” (අවතැන් හදේ).
Withanage emerged in the late 2010s wave of independent Sinhala singers who release singles directly to streaming platforms and YouTube rather than through traditional film or radio channels. His recordings are available on Spotify, Apple Music and his official YouTube channel.
His best-known song, “Sandanaari”, is a letter-writing love story that found a wide audience after its 2018 release and was later reissued in an acoustic version. He has continued to put out singles into the 2020s, including “Roo Chaya” and “Mathagana”.
