Janaka Krishantha (ජනක ක්රිශාන්ත), who performs under the single name Jana (also written Janaa), is a contemporary Sri Lankan singer working in the Sinhala pop and cover-song scene. He is known for tracks such as Obe Sithuwam and Thriloka, and for unplugged and reggae-styled reworkings of popular Sinhala material.
Jana built an audience through digital singles and covers circulated on Sri Lankan music platforms, including Hiru FM Music and SongHub. His early audio single Obe Sithuwam dates from the start of his catalogue, and he later released a wider set of original songs and reworkings, several issued as unplugged versions.
One of his better-known recordings is Thriloka (ත්රෛලෝක), also circulated as “Thriloka Wijaya Pathra,” a collaboration with vocalist Shane Zing Karunaratne and the backing band Line One. The song appeared in both studio and reggae-version forms. As Janaa (Janaka Krishantha), he has also recorded covers of classic Sinhala repertoire by artists such as Milton Mallawarachchi and Athma Liyanage.
