Kavindu Anupama is a Sri Lankan singer who performs Sinhala devotional and tribute songs, including pieces dedicated to teachers and mothers. He is the vocalist on a small set of releases written by the lyricist Pelawaththe Rathanasiri Himi and set to music by composer Nalin Nagodavithana.
Kavindu Anupama’s best-documented recordings are tribute songs in the Sinhala upahara tradition. His rendition of Guru Mawne (ගුරු මවුනේ) is a teacher-tribute (guru upahara) song, and Amma (අම්මා) is a tribute to mothers. Both carry music by Nalin Nagodavithana and lyrics by Pelawaththe Rathanasiri Himi, the songwriting pairing behind much of his catalogue.
