Lavan Abhishek (also spelled Lawan Abhishek) is a Sri Lankan playback and teledrama singer, best known as one of the lead voices of the popular TV Derana drama Sangeethe, for which he recorded a string of songs including the theme Hamuwuna.
Lavan Abhishek built his profile through Sinhala teledrama music, the steady route many contemporary Sri Lankan singers take into wider recognition. His most visible work came with Sangeethe, the 2019 musical drama, where he performed several of the show’s songs. The teledrama’s success carried these recordings to a large television audience and to streaming and lyrics platforms across Sri Lanka.
