Vidusha Nethranjali Rajaguru (often credited simply as Vidusha Nethranjali, and also known as Vidusha Rajaguru) is a Sri Lankan singer from Matale who came to wider attention as the first runner-up of Derana Dream Star season 11 in 2023. She is known for a versatile voice that moves comfortably between traditional Sinhala melody and rock-leaning arrangements.
Vidusha Nethranjali grew up in Matale as the youngest of three sisters in a family touched by both teaching and military service. She studied at the University of the Visual and Performing Arts and holds formal qualifications in music, performing as a trained vocalist rather than purely a contest singer.
Her national profile rose through Derana Dream Star season 11, where she advanced to the final rounds and finished as runner-up, earning consistent praise from the judging panel. Since the competition she has built a catalogue of studio recordings and music videos, including a cover of the devotional favourite “Sambudu Ruwa.” One of her most notable studio appearances is “Aththamma”, the theme for the teledrama Malee 02, which she performs as a duet with the veteran vocalist Nanda Malani.
As one of the younger voices to emerge from the Dream Star pipeline, Vidusha Rajaguru continues to record new material, and her pairing with established artists such as Nanda Malani has helped place her work alongside the wider catalogue of arrangers like Rohana Weerasinghe on Sri Lankan music platforms.
