Indrani Bogoda (ඉන්ද්රාණි බොගොඩ) is a Sri Lankan playback and light-music singer, known for melodic Sinhala songs such as Seetha Diya Ral Sala, Pem Kala Waradata, and Mage Neela Nethu Sangalin. Much of her catalogue was composed by Chandradasa Bogoda, with whom she worked closely throughout her recording career.
Indrani Bogoda built her body of work in the classic era of Sinhala light music, recording songs set by some of the period’s established composers and lyricists. The bulk of her best-known recordings carry music by Chandradasa Bogoda, including Seetha Diya Ral Sala (lyrics by Dharmadasa Paranagama), Mage Neela Nethu Sangalin (lyrics by Dolton Alwis), and Pem Kala Waradata (lyrics by Daya de Alwis).
Her repertoire also extends to collaborations with other leading musicians. She recorded Nothawen Suriyakantha to a composition by Victor Ratnayake, and other songs in her discography were arranged by Rohana Weerasinghe. She also shared duet work with singers including Amarasiri Peiris.
Indrani Bogoda’s name is most often tied to gentle, image-rich numbers built around nature and longing. Songs such as Nila Warna and Seetha Diya Ral Sala (සීත දිය රැල් සලා) remain the recordings listeners associate with her voice, and they continue to circulate among the Sinhala diaspora.
Lyrics-lk hosts these Indrani Bogoda songs with the original Sinhala script, an English transliteration, and a translation, so listeners can follow both the words and their meaning.
