Jayasiri Chandrajith (also spelled Jayasri Chandrajith) is a Sri Lankan stage drama singer, known for performing songs written for Sinhala theatre productions of the late twentieth century rather than for a commercial recording career.
Chandrajith’s recorded work survives mainly through the songs of the stage plays he took part in. He was a member of the first cast of “Tharavo Igilethi”, a Sinhala stage drama first staged on 24 July 1981 at the Lumbini Theatre in Colombo, a production associated with writer Lucien Bulathsinhala and music director Gunadasa Kapuge. His other surviving songs are drawn from theatre works including Diwasa Helanu Mana and Surupi Wirupi.
