Kasun Hettiarachchi is a Sri Lankan singer working in contemporary Sinhala pop, R&B, and soul. He is known for a run of singles released from around 2020 onward, including Apaye Watei (අපායේ වැටෙයි) and Pura Handa.
Hettiarachchi emerged within the wave of independent Sinhala singles distributed through streaming platforms and Sri Lankan music portals in the early 2020s. Apaye Watei was released in 2020 under the Desawana Music label, and several of his tracks pair his vocals with arrangements that lean toward an R&B and soul feel rather than the older melodic style.
A recurring collaborator is the musician Sanjula Himala, who worked on Pura Handa (billed as “Kasun x Sanjula”) and on the song “Kavikara Adare.” The single Apaye Watei carries music credited to Dilshan L Silva.
