Uditha Sanjaya (උදිත සංජය), sometimes written Uditha Sanjeewa, is a Sri Lankan singer who came to wider notice through the televised singing contest Sirasa Superstar and is known for the romantic single “Maya Enawa” from the film Maya. His catalogue mixes original pop ballads with reworked classics, sung in a clear, melodic style aimed at radio and music-video audiences.
Uditha Sanjaya built his early profile on Sirasa Superstar, the long-running Sri Lankan reality singing competition broadcast on Sirasa TV. He reached the finals of the fourth season (Generation Four), placing as runner-up, a result that gave him the platform to move from competition stages into studio recordings and music videos.
Like many performers who emerge from that circuit, Uditha Sanjeewa followed the contest with a run of singles distributed through Sri Lankan radio downloads and video channels, where romantic ballads tend to find the largest audience.
His best known release is “Maya Enawa” (මායා එනවා), recorded for the film Maya, a slow love song that remains his most searched title. He also recorded “Sandath Nidi Warai”, on which he is credited as composer as well as performer, and the wistful “Duka Nadda” (also seen as “Duka Nedda”).
Among his covers, the most circulated is his remake of “Adare Hithenawa Dekkama”, a Sinhala film standard first made famous by H. R. Jothipala. Uditha Sanjaya’s contemporary version reframes the older melody for a younger listening audience.
Each title is presented on Lyrics-lk with the words in the original Sinhala script alongside an English transliteration (Singlish) and translation, so listeners can follow the meaning as well as the melody.
Every Sinhala lyric, composition, and song credit by Uditha Sanjaya.
