Eshan Udesha (ඊශාන් උදේශ) is a Sri Lankan singer and songwriter who emerged in the contemporary Sinhala pop scene in the late 2010s. He is known for writing as well as performing much of his own material, and for romantic ballads that circulated widely through YouTube and local radio.
Eshan Udesha works in the singer-songwriter mold, frequently penning his own lyrics rather than relying solely on outside writers. His Rahase Adare Karannam (රහසේ ආදරේ කරන්නම්), released around 2019, became his most widely circulated track, drawing well over two hundred thousand views on Sri Lankan music platforms. He also wrote the words and composed the music for Ithihasagatha Premayak, a song on which he handled performance, lyrics, and melody together.
Beyond his own recordings, Eshan Udesha has written lyrics for other performers, including Miyadennata Maththen, sung by Asintha Sandaruwan. That dual role, as both a featured vocalist and a lyricist for hire, places him among the working independent artists who shaped Sinhala digital-era pop.
