Infaas Nooruddin (ඉන්ෆාස්, also written Infass or Infaas Noor.Ud.Din) is a Sri Lankan pop and R&B singer from Colombo, known for hits such as “Surangana Kirilliye”, “Mandira Sandaluthala” and the 2013 favourite “Manamali”. He helped bring a contemporary, urban-pop sound to Sinhala music in the mid-2000s.
Infaas grew up in Colombo and attended St. Joseph’s College there before continuing his studies in marketing at Swinburne University in Australia. He entered the music scene around 2005 and quickly drew attention with a softer, melody-driven style that blended Sinhala lyrics with the rhythm and production of mainstream R&B and pop.
He has spoken openly about his influences, naming international artists like Michael Jackson, Ne-Yo and Justin Timberlake, and that crossover sensibility runs through his catalogue. Much of his early prominence came through his partnership with producer and artist Iraj, whose studio work helped shape several of his releases.
“Surangana Kirilliye” was one of his earliest popular tracks and remains closely associated with his name. “Mandira Sandaluthala” (මන්දිර සඳලුතල) leans on imagery of a traditional house, gardens and the hill-country landscape, while romantic numbers such as “Rahasin” (Rahasin Mata Rahasin) and “Manamali” show the love-song writing he has cited as his core inspiration. The Sinhalese version of “Manamali” was released as an Iraj and Infaas single in 2013.
For each of these, Lyrics-lk presents the Sinhala lyrics alongside an English transliteration (Singlish) and translation, so listeners can follow the meaning of Infaas Nooruddin’s songs in either language.
