The middle is all sensuous blur, eyes drifting, hands joining, the tales smeared across the chest savoured dream by dream. Even as her masked patterns, her games and disguises, keep getting flung at him, he half-resolves that these matters can’t be dug up again, that he shouldn’t take her back, an intention he clearly won’t keep, since the refrain of helpless surrender keeps returning.
