Dilki Uresha (දිල්කි උරේෂා) is a Sri Lankan pop singer who came to wider attention in the late 2010s and 2020s with a string of contemporary love songs, cover versions, and teledrama theme songs. Working largely in mainstream Sinhala pop, she blends modern production with melodic, sentiment-driven writing.
Uresha built her audience through digital releases and music videos rather than the traditional radio circuit. Her 2019 single Saththai Mata Oba Wage (also titled “Sewanalla Se Oba”) became one of her most-streamed tracks and remains a touchstone of her early work. She followed it with collaborations and singles that circulated widely on YouTube, where several of her songs have drawn millions of views.
Among her notable on-screen work is Heenayakda Me, a theme song she recorded as a duet with Ashan Fernando, and the Aladdin teledrama theme song (“Oba Nisa”), reflecting how much of her recent output is tied to Sri Lankan television.
Dilki Uresha’s catalogue moves between original compositions and reworked versions of popular melodies. Her cover of the Hindi song “Sun Raha Hai Na Tu,” released in Sinhala as Sadahata Miyadunado, is a clear example of this adaptive approach, recasting a familiar tune for a Sinhala-speaking audience. Across her songs the recurring themes are love, longing, and parting, delivered in an accessible pop idiom.
