Dushyanth Weeraman (දුෂ්යන්ත් වීරමන්, also spelled Dushyantha Weeraman) is a Sri Lankan singer, dancer, and performer, born on 7 June 1983 in Colombo. He came to wide attention after winning the reality competition Sirasa Dancing Stars in 2008, and went on to build a catalogue of popular Sinhala pop and dance singles.
Dushyanth Weeraman grew up in a musical Colombo household and is the younger brother of Santhush Weeraman, one half of the well-known duo Bathiya and Santhush. He was educated at Royal College Colombo. That family connection to the pop scene shaped his move from dance into singing and stage work.
Weeraman first became a household name through dance, winning Sirasa Dancing Stars in 2008, and he made his film debut as the lead in the 2009 picture Dancing Star. He also performed on stage, taking the role of Raoul in a local production of The Phantom of the Opera. In 2013 he received the Ten Outstanding Young Persons of Sri Lanka award. Alongside his solo work he leads the band Kurumba, and over the years he has worked with collaborators across the region, including a 2012 recording with Indian playback singer Sonu Nigam.
As a recording artist, Dushyantha Weeraman is known for radio-friendly singles that blend Sinhala melody with contemporary pop and dance production. His track Nelum Vilen Pena became the subject of a Colombo court order, an unusual marker of how widely the song circulated.
