In a love without limit, without end,
the one who held me was you
the one who bought me with the price of blood,
Abba, Father, is you
Abba, Father, is you
Day after day, with mercy made new,
the one who kept me alive was you
the God who reigns, everlasting,
unchanging forever, is you
the Lord Jesus, everlasting,
unchanging forever, is you
Bringing me out of darkness into light,
the one who gave a new life was you
the King of joy, of peace, of reconciliation,
the King of mercy, is you
the King of joy, of peace, of reconciliation,
Jesus of mercy, is you
Abba, Father, is you

Seemawak Nathi Nimawak Nathi Song Meaning and Interpretation
This is a hymn of grateful assurance, addressed intimately to God as “Abba, Father.” That word “Abba” is the Aramaic word for father that Jesus himself used in prayer, an intensely close and childlike name, and the whole song rests on that closeness. It opens by naming the boundlessness of God’s love, “in a love without limit, without end, the one who held me was you,” and then the cost of it, “the one who bought me with the price of blood,” pointing to redemption through Christ’s sacrifice.
The middle verse rejoices in a mercy that never runs out, echoing the scripture that God’s mercies “are new every morning.” “Day after day, with mercy made new, the one who kept me alive was you.” And it praises God as “everlasting, unchanging forever,” a fixed point in a changing world, the God who does not shift or fail.
The final verse tells the story of the believer’s rescue in a single line, “bringing me out of darkness into light, the one who gave a new life was you,” the movement from lostness to salvation. And it crowns God with the titles of everything that new life brought, “the King of joy, of peace, of reconciliation, the King of mercy.” The refrain keeps returning, warm and certain, to “Abba, Father, is you.” What the listener is left with is the settled confidence of a child who knows exactly whose they are, held by a limitless love, bought at great price, kept alive by fresh mercy each day, and brought out of the dark by a Father they can call by the most tender name of all.
