Amila Nidahasa (අමිල නිදහස) is a Sri Lankan singer, composer and lyricist who works largely as a self-contained songwriter, performing songs that he also writes and composes. He is known for melodic Sinhala pop tracks such as Pas Maha Belum (පස් මහ බෙලුම්) and Obama Mithuru Wee, and for writing and composing material recorded by other vocalists.
Amila Nidahasa is credited across all three creative roles on most of his releases, singing, composing the melody, and writing the lyrics, which is uncommon among Sinhala pop performers and gives his catalogue a consistent personal voice. His songs are distributed on the main Sri Lankan music platforms and on international services including Apple Music and Shazam.
Beyond his own recordings, Amila Nidahasa has supplied songs to other artists as a composer and lyricist. He wrote and composed material recorded by Tehan Perera and Lochana Asintha, among others, working behind the scenes as well as in front of the microphone.
His best-known recording, Keewa Geethaya, is a duet credited to him alongside Kasun Madushanka. Other widely shared tracks include Obama Mithuru Wee and Nimak Nethi Adare, ballads built around themes of love and longing.
