Tehan Perera (ටෙහාන් පෙරේරා) is a Sri Lankan pop singer, born 10 April 1991, best known for his hit Unuhuma and the romantic and baila singles that followed it. He is one of the contemporary Colombo-scene vocalists whose work crosses easily between radio love songs and lighter party numbers, which is why his name turns up across both the romantic and baila ends of a Sinhala playlist.
Perera began performing as a teenager, around the age of sixteen, contributing to the collaborative track Wherever You Are, recorded in memory of his late elder sister Sanushi Perera. He moved on to a solo path soon after, releasing early singles including Jenny and Kurulewa before settling into the romantic-pop sound that became his signature.
His breakthrough came with Unuhuma (උණුහුම), a love song that topped local radio rotations and remains the centre of his catalogue. The success was large enough to spawn a series: Lyrics-lk hosts the original Unuhuma alongside Unuhuma 2 and Unuhuma 3 (Nadunana Suba Heene), the latter pair written by Prageeth Rajapaksha with music by Ashan Fernando. He also recorded the cricket-themed Kusalane and a run of baila-flavoured tracks such as Aggala Bole, which was adapted into an advertising jingle.
Each Tehan Perera song page on Lyrics-lk presents the lyrics in the original Sinhala script with an English transliteration (Singlish) and translation, so listeners can follow the meaning of Unuhuma and his other singles line by line.
