Kaizer Kaiz (also written Kaiser Kaiz), කයිසර් කයිස්, is a Sri Lankan rapper and singer whose real name is Amila Ruwange. He is one of the more recognisable names in Sinhala hip hop, known for fusing rap verses with melodic Sinhala pop hooks across a long run of singles and collaborations.
Kaizer Kaiz built his reputation in the Sri Lankan rap scene through guest verses and feature spots, most prominently appearing alongside Iraj Weeraratne and Infaas on the widely shared single “Sweety Manika”. His work earned him the Best Hip Hop award at the Derana Music Video Awards across the 2010 to 2011 and 2012 to 2013 cycles, marking him as a fixture of the era’s commercial Sinhala rap.
His catalogue ranges from rap-driven tracks to radio-friendly duets. He teamed with Romaine Willis on Cleopatra, traded verses with Lil Neo on Nattukkari and Sellakkaraya, and worked with Izzy on Thol Sayam.
