Ajith Perera (අජිත් පෙරේරා, also romanised Ajith Pereira) is a Sri Lankan singer from Negombo, born on 13 May 1970, known for gentle Sinhala love songs that have circulated widely on radio, on YouTube, and on cover-song stages. His soft, sentimental delivery has made several of his ballads recurring requests among Sinhala listeners at home and across the diaspora.
Perera built his catalogue across the 2000s and 2010s, releasing the album Prathama Haduwa in 2002 and Meedumak Wela in 2014. The title track of the first record survives on Lyrics-lk as Oya Dethol Matha (Prathama Haduwa), and the title song of the second as Meedumak Wela Ethenna Ma Wate. He has continued to record into the 2020s, issuing a steady run of new singles.
One of his most-played numbers is Sanda Bonda Wee (සඳ බොඳ වී), revisited several times in his career and performed on programmes such as The Music Room. Lyrics-lk hosts it as Sanda Bonda Wee alongside the longer-titled Sanda Bonda Wee Yana Witadi. He also wrote the music for Duka Athath Maha Merak.
Each page presents the song in Sinhala script with an English transliteration (Singlish) and translation, the angle that sets these pages apart from the bare lyric listings that index Ajith Perera elsewhere.
