A tender song of hidden, unspoken love, all of it summed up in one repeated ache: you do not know. The singer measures a secret devotion by the poems written and how deeply he searched for the beloved inside every verse, and by the sleepless bed, the nights lain awake, none of which she ever knew.
The second verse turns to the night sky. He tells his sorrow to the dark and weeps tears the moon never saw, as much as I loved the moon.
