A young man has decided he is done with love, and the song is him saying it out loud to himself. The one person he gave everything to has walked out, and now he sits with tears that just won’t stop. He calls her his last love, not because she was the greatest, but because he has made up his mind never to try again. That quiet resignation is the heart of the song.

What makes it ache is how he turns the loneliness into a choice rather than a wound. He tells everyone, anyone, to stay away and stop coming to fool him again. He would rather sit in the emptiness alone than cry these tears one more time. There is a bitter little truth he admits along the way: no one ever really loved him back, he was the only one doing the loving. That line is the bruise the whole song presses on.

A few of the images carry the weight in a very Sinhala way. He says his heart is “dead without dying,” a way of describing being alive on the outside but emotionally finished on the inside, still breathing, but with nothing left. He talks of a “book of memories” that is now full to the brim, the idea that he has stored so many moments of her that there is no room for anything new, and going back through those pages is its own slow pain. And he speaks to the moon, telling it his heart can manage on its own.
