A young man is wandering through life with one quiet certainty: somewhere out there is the person he is meant to love, and he won’t stop until he finds her. The song opens on a tender old belief. He says the great Brahma, the creator god in Hindu and Buddhist cosmology, shaped this girl just for him, so that his heart would finally know peace and he would never have to feel alone again. That single idea carries the whole song. She already exists; he just hasn’t met her yet, and so the waiting is hopeful rather than sad.

From there the feeling becomes a search. He asks the same question over and over, where are you, and turns it outward to the whole world. This isn’t a man pining over someone he lost. It’s someone in love with love itself, restless to find the one who will fill the empty stretches of his life.
