Madu sanden thawath supun sandak uda wei //Madu Sanden Thawath Supun Sandak Lyrics English Translation
With a sweet song, another full moon rises
You sway, you of my sweet love story
With a sweet song, another full moon rises
Seeking the nectar joy of love, building a seven-storied palace
Looking for a new world too, let us fly away together
You sway, you of my sweet love story
With a sweet song, another full moon rises
The smile born in my heart, you are the spring of all that tenderness
Blooming as a flower of love on the vine, I am made new again, my love
You sway, you of my sweet love story
With a sweet song, another full moon rises

Madu Sanden Thawath Supun Sandak Song Meaning and Interpretation
A young man is so in love that the whole world around him seems to shine. As he sings, he tells the girl he loves that another full moon is rising on a sweet song, and right away you can feel that this is less a report of the sky than the glow of his own happiness. She is the centre of his world, the one his “sweet love story” turns around, and watching her move is enough to lift him.
From there the song opens out into the future the two of them dream of building. He talks about chasing the nectar-sweet joy of love and raising a “seven-storied palace,” which in Sinhala is a familiar way of picturing a grand, almost royal home built for love, not a real building but the life they want to make together. Then comes the lovely turn: instead of settling into that palace, he asks her to fly away with him to a whole new world. The love is restless and hopeful, always reaching for something more, somewhere fresh to begin.
The closing verse is where the tenderness deepens. He calls her the spring, the very source, of the smile that was born inside his heart, so all his joy is traced back to her. The last image is the prettiest one: love blooming like a flower on a climbing vine, and as it opens he feels himself made new again. In Sri Lankan song the flower coming into bloom stands for love and life renewing themselves, and that is exactly what he is feeling, an old self set aside and a fresh one beginning because of her.
What you are left with is the lightness of early, certain love, the rising moon, the dream palace, the wish to fly somewhere new, all of it pointing back to one person who makes everything feel like a beginning.
