Radeesh Vandebona (රදීෂ් වන්දෙබෝන), born Radeesh Prabashwara Vandebona, is a Sri Lankan singer, music director, and producer known for a polished pop sound that blends Sinhala melody with Indian-influenced arrangement. He is the founder of the Revo Music label and one of the most active hitmakers of the 2010s and 2020s Sinhala scene, both as a performer and as the composer behind dozens of songs for other artists.
Vandebona was born on 10 June 1992. He entered the music industry as a teenager, working first as a composer before stepping out as a singer in his own right. His early studio work brought him attention as one of the youngest producers turning out radio hits, and he went on to build Revo Music as the home for much of his output.
Much of Vandebona’s catalogue is romantic pop in the modern Sinhala idiom, with themes of love, longing, and separation set to layered, contemporary production. As a music director he has composed for a long list of vocalists, and several of those collaborations are among his most-played tracks. He worked with Theekshana Anuradha on Dannawada Me As Handanne Ai Kiyala, with Damith Asanka on Noleba Obe Adare, and with Natasha Perera on the duet Adarei Man Adarei.
As a singer, Vandebona is widely recognised for So Susum Maruthe, Me Sansare, and Haadu Wasse Themila (හාදුවැස්සේ). He has also lent his voice and compositions to several television theme songs, including Sihinaye Sarisarana Adare, the theme of the teledrama Neela Pabalu, and Hangi Hangi Ebikam Kala, the theme of Sadahatama Oba Mage, recorded with Kalpana Kavindi.
Vandebona’s distinctive approach, folding Indian-style melodic colour into Sinhala love songs, has given him a steady online following, with a YouTube channel that has grown past a quarter of a million subscribers. Lyrics-lk hosts both the songs he performs and many he has composed for others, including work with Rose Alagiyawanna, making his page a useful entry point into a large and connected catalogue of contemporary Sinhala pop.
